PerformYard Integrations Overview - Native Inbound & Outbound Options
PerformYard offers native integrations with many HRIS and payroll systems. Once integrated, PerformYard will automatically sync employee data (about once every 24 hours, or manually on demand), and you can manage connected fields, new hires, terminations, and account status directly via the HRIS integration tab in PerformYard.
Here are examples of key integrations offered:
- ADP (Workforce Now & Vantage HCM) - Native integration to synchronize employee records from ADP into PerformYard. New hires added in ADP are automatically created in PerformYard, and terminated employees are deactivated, with key profile information pulled over to keep data consistent. This automated sync saves time and ensures PerformYard is always up-to-date with your source HRIS. (Inbound data flow; supports user provisioning and even allows employees to log in with ADP credentials via SSO.)
- BambooHR - Native two-way integration that streamlines employee management by automatically syncing key employee info from BambooHR into PerformYard. Adding or deactivating an employee in BambooHR (e.g. new hires or departures) will update PerformYard with one click, eliminating manual data entry. Employees can also log into PerformYard using their BambooHR credentials for seamless access. (Primarily inbound sync of HR data; enables automated user provisioning and SSO.)
- Gusto - Direct integration that keeps PerformYard’s employee list in sync with Gusto’s HR/payroll system. HR can add a new hire or remove a terminated employee in PerformYard with a single action, and the system will pull all relevant data from Gusto automatically. Changes in Gusto (org chart updates, personal details, status changes) are reflected in PerformYard without double-entry. (Inbound data sync; focused on auto-updating employee profiles to reduce errors.)
- Rippling - Native integration to maintain accurate employee data by syncing from Rippling into PerformYard. New hires and terminations processed in Rippling can be brought into PerformYard with one click, and all key fields (like title, department, manager, etc.) are automatically updated in PerformYard. This saves HR from re-entering data and keeps performance management records aligned with HR records. (Inbound only; automated data import for user provisioning and profile updates.)
- UKG (UKG Pro) - Integration connector that syncs personnel information from UKG Pro to PerformYard. With one click, new employees in UKG are added into PerformYard and terminated staff are removed. The integration also propagates organizational changes (e.g. if an employee’s manager is updated in UKG, that change is reflected in PerformYard) to ensure alignment. This automated HRIS feed reduces manual effort and keeps performance data accurate and in sync with HR’s system of record.
- Workday - Native integration simplifying data maintenance by syncing key employee data from Workday into PerformYard. HR can add or remove employees with one click in PerformYard, and information from Workday (new hire details, terminations, org chart changes, etc.) is pulled in automatically. This ensures the performance review system always reflects current employee info and organizational structure. (Inbound sync; automated provisioning and updates from Workday, the source system.)
- Paylocity - Native HRIS integration that keeps employee data up-to-date in PerformYard by syncing from Paylocity. For example, when a new hire is added in Paylocity, you can create the user in PerformYard in one click and import all their essential details. Similarly, terminating an employee in Paylocity can automatically deactivate them in PerformYard. Changes to the org chart or fields in Paylocity are mirrored in PerformYard, so you can maintain Paylocity as the single system of record while performance management data updates in real-time.
Additional PerformYard HRIS/Payroll Systems (via SFTP)
Beyond the above, PerformYard supports integration with “most every other HRIS” through Secure File Transfer (SFTP) uploads. This includes systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Paycor, HiBob, Justworks, Paycom, Ceridian Dayforce, Heartland, etc. Essentially any platform that can export CSV data.
Using scheduled SFTP jobs, organizations can automatically import bulk employee data into PerformYard. New hires or terminations can thus be added/removed in batch, and key fields from the external HRIS are pulled in to keep PerformYard aligned. (Inbound batch sync; supports automated updates even for custom or in-house HR databases by treating the HRIS as the source of truth.)
PerformYard Single Sign-On (SSO) & Identity Management Integrations
PerformYard supports Single Sign-On (SSO) via built-in support for Google, Microsoft Office 365, and through identity providers like Okta and OneLogin. It also supports custom SAML-based authentication (e.g. via Azure AD/Entra) and allows organizations to restrict login methods or enforce IP whitelisting for tighter identity management.
Here’s a look at some of the key integrations offered:
- Google Workspace (G Suite) - PerformYard supports SSO with Google, allowing users to log in using their Google Workspace account credentials. This one-click login means no separate PerformYard password is needed, simplifying access and onboarding. (Authentication integration; relies on Google as identity provider–no HR data sync, just user authentication.)
- Microsoft Office 365 / Azure AD - Integration with Microsoft’s identity platform enables login via Office 365 (Azure Active Directory) credentials. Employees can authenticate to PerformYard with their Office 365 email and password, which streamlines sign-on and centralizes security. (SSO only; user accounts are managed in Azure AD, providing easy provisioning/deprovisioning from an IT perspective.)
- Okta - PerformYard is listed in Okta’s application network and supports SAML 2.0 SSO via Okta. This allows employees to access PerformYard through their Okta single sign-on dashboard using corporate credentials. It improves security (with Okta’s policies like 2FA) and simplifies user management–when an account is disabled in Okta, access to PerformYard is automatically removed.
- OneLogin - Similar to Okta, OneLogin integration is available for SAML-based single sign-on. Users can sign into PerformYard with OneLogin-managed identities, enabling centralized identity management. This makes onboarding (granting access to new users) and offboarding (revoking access) more efficient, with no separate login to maintain.
- Custom SSO (SAML 2.0) - PerformYard also supports other identity providers through a generic SAML 2.0 configuration. For example, companies have integrated Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS), JumpCloud, or other SAML-compliant IdPs with PerformYard. Once enabled, this allows one-click SSO from your chosen identity provider, while ensuring only authenticated, authorized users can access the platform. (PerformYard’s team provides guidance for configuring custom SAML options, including Microsoft Azure AD as needed.)
PerformYard Integrations with Collaboration & Communication Tools
PerformYard supports built-in integrations with collaboration and communication tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, enabling employees to post recognition or feedback and get notifications directly within their daily messaging channels. These integrations help embed performance conversations into existing workflows, boosting visibility and adoption.
Here are additional details about each option:
- Slack - PerformYard’s Slack integration lets you broadcast employee recognition in your team’s Slack channels. When someone submits a public recognition or kudos in PerformYard (by choosing to share it with the “entire company”), the message is automatically posted to a designated Slack channel. This promotes a culture of appreciation by celebrating wins where employees communicate every day, while the recognition entry itself is stored in PerformYard for performance records. (Outbound data flow from PerformYard to Slack; no data is sent from Slack back to PerformYard, aside from any emoji reactions or thread replies which remain in Slack.)
- Microsoft Teams - Similar to the Slack integration, PerformYard can publish public recognitions directly to a Teams channel in your organization. As managers or peers give recognition in PerformYard (marking it visible to the whole company), that praise is simultaneously shared in Microsoft Teams, allowing everyone to pile on congratulations in real-time. All feedback is still captured in PerformYard for later reference, ensuring nothing is lost. Teams integration leverages your Office 365 accounts, so user presence is consistent, and it reduces the need for manual duplication of announcements. (Outbound only; encourages engagement by pushing performance feedback into the daily communication flow.)
PerformYard Integration Platforms & Custom APIs
PerformYard offers a REST API / custom-integration layer that lets customers programmatically retrieve, create, update, or deactivate data like employees, goals, reviews, and reports. Through these APIs, organizations can build their own integrations or use integration platforms (e.g. Tray) to automate workflows between PerformYard and other systems.
- PerformYard REST API - PerformYard offers an open REST API for programmatic data access and updates. This API enables both inbound and outbound data flows. For example, you can use it to create or update employee accounts in PerformYard from an external system, or retrieve performance data (goals, review results, etc.) for analysis in another tool. The API includes endpoints for employee management, goals, reviews and more–even allowing external triggers for performance workflows (e.g. adding an employee into a review cycle or initiating an ad-hoc review via API call). In practice, this means you can automate HR processes or connect PerformYard with BI dashboards, LMS, or other business systems as needed. (Requires some developer effort; supports custom integration use cases beyond native plugins.)
- Zapier (Workflow Automation) - PerformYard can integrate with thousands of other apps through Zapier, a no-code automation platform. While PerformYard doesn’t have a pre-built Zapier “app”, you can use Zapier’s Webhooks feature in combination with the PerformYard API to push or pull data. For example, a company might set up a Zap such that whenever a new row is added in a Google Sheet or a new employee appears in an HRIS without a direct integration, Zapier will call PerformYard’s API to create that employee record automatically. Conversely, you could send PerformYard data (like engagement or goal progress metrics) out to another system via Zapier by fetching it through the API. In short, Zapier acts as an integration platform to connect PerformYard with 6,000+ apps, enabling automated workflows across systems without manual coding.
